SMI Old Boys---Futsal on 3-5-2008

All old boys...on 3-5-2008 we will conduct a futsal game in Ipoh. The purpose of having this activity is to strengthen the bond of friendship among us.

More activities to come...

There are some requests from our old boys to organize futsal activities in KL since majority of us are in KL. We are looking for the suitable day, time and place for the futsal which will be determined later and of course with enough and sufficient participation.

Due to the well response from the futsal friendly game on 5-4-2008 in Ipoh where most of us had fulfilled their promise to come, we expect the same from our friends in KL. Leave your daily normal routine and come to play for SMI.

As for other sports activities, we understand that there are some of us unable to play futsal due to certain factors. Thus, we also provide badminton as one of our sports activities.

Not to forget besides sports we will also having a Teh Tarik Session and definitely Mamak's will be our place since they provide a large screen which enable us to watch EPL Live Match.

From our observation, in May there are lot of public holidays and we believe many of our old boys will come home. So, just wait from our announcement.

SMI Old Boys vs Anderson Old Boys-Friendly Futsal-5-4-2008-The results

The game was held successfully. 11 SMI Old Boys players had turned out for the game and they fought bravely and aggressively although there were some weakness in certain areas particularly the finishing touch.

Some of us have not seen each other for many years but due to the Michaelian spirit they make this event a terrific reunion as it was the reminiscence of the old days when we were at school.

The Anderson Old Boys players were also enjoying the game even though their players were less in number than us. There will be more futsal activities and friendlies ahead and we hope more old boys from SMI; seniors and juniors will join us.

Our Futsal Jersey

The new futsal team jersey has finally arrived. The Diadora jersey together with the shorts will be used for the first futsal friendly match against Anderson Old Boys on 5-4-2008.

The team jersey color is in line with SMI theme color which is green. The shorts is in black color. May the new jersey will enhance the Michaelian spirit to our players whenever they wear it against our opponent.

New School Badge

The SMI badge has been replaced with the new badge (as seen in the picture) starting from this year onwards.

The new badge is similar or originally from the SRK St Michael 2 badge. Still remember? Maybe the school administrator believes that the new badge is in line with school theme colour; green and white.
